Not sure if everyone knows this, but Walmart is Christian owned. The Walton family, who founded the company and still owns a major portion of the organization today, created the values of Walmart based on the shopping habits of churchgoers. Although they don’t go as far as being closed on Sundays, like Chick-Fil-A, they do sell Christian centered items like books and more. So when this story surfaced, it was not difficult to believe that something like this would take place in one of their stores.

Back in July of 2017, a mom and her son visited a Walmart store. This is something many families do periodically throughout the month. They take their children with them to shop for groceries, odds and ends and things that are needed around the house. Another thing that happens often while on these trips is that children end up wandering off to see this thing or that. During their trip to the store, Mom realized her son had done just that, he had wondered off from her side. There’s always that split second when you can’t find your children in a store and your heart drops until you see them again. I can imagine that’s what happened to this mom as she was looking for her son. She described her outing in a Facebook post on 89.5 KVNE, saying the following:
“I had to run into Walmart. I turned around to make sure my son was next to me. Instead of finding him by my side I found him kneeling in front of the missing children board praying. 💙😭🙏🏼. #amazing #trainupachild”
They added this photo from the day and the comments came pouring in.
