These tattoos typically last 3 days. Depending on lifestyle they sometimes last longer or shorter. Here are a few tricks to make sure you get as much wear as possible.
Make sure your skin is as dry as possible. Any moisture, lotion, oils, etc., will serve as a barrier between your skin and the tattoo and may cause issues sticking to your skin. The tattoo should feel sticky on your skin before you apply any water.
Use plenty of firm pressure. Make sure to press every part of the tattoo against your skin as you are using a damp washcloth or sponge to apply. Don’t rush this part and don’t over saturate. The tattoo shouldn’t be dripping wet, but each part does need moisture and pressure.
Peel off slowly and carefully. Make sure to stop peeling and gently press down any parts of the tattoo that aren’t applied yet. That portion may need extra time and little extra water.
Gently dab off any excess moisture once you have applied the tattoo.
Pro-tip: Adding a tiny bit of lotion on top of your tattoo, once it is dry, will help it last a little bit longer.
